- Kashiwa has been offering inert gas systems since 1970, delivering them to nearly 1900 ships. The PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) N2 Generator System is one of four types of inert gas systems offered by Kashiwa, alongside their Inert Gas System (IGS), Inert Gas Generator System (IGG), and Membrane N2 Generator System.
- The PSA Nitrogen Generator is positioned within Kashiwa's range as a system capable of producing very clean inert gas with very low oxygen content, making it suitable for chemical and product tankers. This contrasts with the IGS and IGG systems, which produce inert gas with some impurities from combustion processes.
- The Kashiwa PSA Nitrogen Generator is chosen for its ability to produce high-purity nitrogen gas (95-99.99%) by employing Molecular Sieving Carbon (MSC) to separate components of pressurized air.
