- The Taiko USH series of oily water separators was developed in response to the IMO resolution MEPC.107(49), which became effective for ships with keels laid on or after January 1, 2005. Taiko Kikai Industries Co., Ltd. began designing, producing, and selling marine oily water separators in June 1976.
- The USH-20 is part of the USH series, which offers a range of treatment capabilities. The USH-01 is designed for smaller vessels with a treatment capacity of 0.15 m³/h, while other models in the series, including the USH-20, cater to larger capacities up to 5 m³/h.
- The USH-20, like other models in the USH series, is designed with a high-performance, long-life coalescer capable of treating not only high-specific gravity and high-viscosity oils but also emulsions containing surface active agents or suspended solids that were previously difficult to treat. It also emphasizes maintainability, aiming to provide stable performance over long periods without stress for the user.
