The Reflecta III is a reflector compass binnacle designed for worldwide use, similar in approvals and specifications to the Reflecta I, but with slightly reduced dimensions. It is suitable for optical reflection arrangements up to 3 meters, including horizontal by-passes up to 2 meters. The Reflecta II is recommended for longer optical paths and horizontal by-passes exceeding 2 meters, while the Reflecta IV and Reflecta V are variants with shorter columns and no bearing capability, intended for coastal navigation.
The Reflecta III is chosen for its compliance with national and international standards for global navigation, its robust construction from AlMg alloy with seawater-resistant fittings, and its inclusion of essential components like an azimuth device, deviation correctors, and both electrical and emergency lighting.
