- The Furuno FAR-3000 series Chart Radar was announced to be available shortly on October 23, 2013, and was unveiled at KORMARINE 2013 and Marintec China 2013. This series introduced new radar technologies, including Furuno's Solid State Radar technology.
- The FAR-3xxx (ARPA) series represents Furuno's advanced chart radar systems, offering enhanced target detection and a refined user interface. It sits above the FAR-2xx7/28x7 series, which also provides ARPA functionality and AIS integration but with different display sizes and networking capabilities. The FAR-3xxx series also includes solid-state options, a technology also found in the FAR-2xx8-NXT series.
