- The BGW-20N is part of Miura's BGW-N series of shipboard incinerators, which ranges from BGW-20N to BGW-100N. It represents one of the smaller capacities within this series, designed for vessels with a crew of approximately 25 people.
- The BGW-20N is chosen for its ability to simultaneously incinerate 20kg of solid waste and waste oil, matching the daily waste output of a 25-person crew, thereby reducing operational workload. Its unique semi-distillation incineration method allows for the burning of water-rich materials alongside high-heat producers like plastics, and an ejector system helps suppress dioxin formation by rapidly cooling exhaust gases.
