- The BalClor® Ballast Water Management System, developed by Sunrui Marine Environment Engineering Co., Ltd., began its development in 2006. It achieved US Coast Guard Type Approval on June 6, 2017, making it the first in Asia and fourth globally to receive this certification.
- The BC-1500 is part of Sunrui's BalClor® BWMS series, which offers a wide range of treatment capacities from 170 m³/h to 8500 m³/h. It sits in the lower-middle range of the series, with models available both smaller (e.g., BC-150, BC-300, BC-500, BC-1000) and larger (e.g., BC-2000, BC-2500, BC-3000, BC-3500, BC-4000, BC-5000, BC-6000, BC-7000, BC-8000).
- The BC-1500, like other BalClor® systems, utilizes side-stream electrolysis technology, which simplifies installation and reduces retrofitting costs as only the filter needs to be placed in the main pipes. This system is also noted for its mature, reliable, and safe core electrolysis technology, derived from Sunrui's land-based systems used in nuclear and thermal power plants.
