- The Accelleron VTR series of turbochargers has a long heritage, with the iconic VTR..0 turbocharger first launched in 1945 by Brown Boveri & Co (now Accelleron). This initial model featured an open radial-flow compressor and a pressure ratio of 2.0.
- The VTR series is a predecessor to the TPL generation of turbochargers within Accelleron's product range. It is designed for heavy-duty, two-stroke low-speed and four-stroke medium-speed diesel and gas engines.
