- The ABB Tmax XT series of molded case circuit breakers (MCCBs) was introduced around January 2019, building upon the success of the Emax 2 air circuit breaker and serving as the next generation to replace the Tmax T series.
- The Tmax XT family is ABB's current-generation molded case circuit breaker line, spanning seven frame sizes from XT1 to XT7, covering current ratings from approximately 16 A to 1600 A. It offers higher performance and more advanced features compared to the older, more basic Formula A series, which tops out around 630 A.
- The Tmax XT is distinguished by its advanced connectivity, allowing real-time data analysis via the ABB Ability cloud platform and remote monitoring through smartphones and tablets. It offers high breaking capacities, precise metering, and a modular design with interchangeable trip units, enabling easy upgrades and customization.
