The H21/32 series, part of the HiMSEN engine family, has been in service since 2001, with over 5,000 engines delivered by 2011. STX Engine, which produces these engines, was launched in December 1976.
The 6H21/32 is an in-line, four-stroke medium-speed diesel engine within the HiMSEN H21/32 series, which also includes 5, 7, 8, and 9-cylinder configurations. It sits below larger bore engines like the H25/33 and H32/40 in terms of power output.
The H21/32 series is known for its robust and simple design, aiming for high reliability and performance, while also being designed with environmental considerations for low NOx emissions. Its modularized design facilitates easier maintenance.
