This series builds upon Alfa Laval's long heritage in centrifugal separation, which dates back to the late 1800s with the development of the first continuous centrifugal separator.
- The P-Flex range is positioned as a large-capacity separator within Alfa Laval's offerings, designed for oils with higher solid contamination and featuring an automatic solids discharge. It is presented as a more affordable and simpler alternative to the S-Flex series, particularly for well-defined oils with fewer process challenges, as it uses manually set gravity discs instead of the S-Flex's automatic ALCAP™ technology.
- The P-Flex is chosen for its high performance in cleaning lubricating, diesel, and hydraulic oils, especially in applications where oil density remains consistent. Its strengths include a space-saving modularized footprint, automatic solids discharge, and a low-wear mechanical platform with CentriShoot and CentriLock systems that reduce maintenance and extend equipment lifetime.
