- Alfa Laval's heritage in centrifugal separation dates back to 1879 with the first continuous separator for cream, which paved the way for oil separation in the early 1900s. The MMB series, including the MMB 304, is part of Alfa Laval's family of solid bowl separators.
- The MMB 304 is one of two models in the MMB series of solids-retaining separators, with the other being the MMB 305. Both models are identical in concept but have different throughput capacities.
- The MMB 304 is chosen for its robust and compact design, ease of installation, operation, and maintenance, and its high separation efficiency for various mineral oils. It features a large sludge space, which extends operating periods between manual cleaning, and a built-in paring disc for continuous, pressurized discharge of clean oil.
