- The System Sensor 2251B is part of the 200 Series of intelligent plug-in smoke detectors. This series features intelligent (addressable) detectors with point ID capability.
- The 2251B is a photoelectric smoke detector within the 200 Series. Sibling models include the 2251TB, which adds 135°F fixed temperature thermal sensing, and the 2251TMB (Acclimate®), a multi-criteria detector that combines photo and thermal elements with advanced software to reduce nuisance alarms. The 2251BR is a remote test capable detector designed for use with duct smoke detectors. The 2251B has been superseded by the 2351B, which offers enhanced sensitivity to smoke particles, improved reliability, and durability.
- The 2251B's primary strength lies in its unique optical sensing chamber, engineered to detect smoke from a wide range of combustion sources. Its intelligent addressable capabilities allow for precise identification of the detector's location and continuous monitoring of its sensitivity by the control panel.
