- Grundfos was founded in 1945 in Bjerringbro, Denmark, by Poul Due Jensen. The company initially focused on manufacturing pumps, with the name changing to 'Bjerringbro Pumpefabrik' in 1953 and then to 'Grundfoss' in 1967, before becoming 'Grundfos' in 1968. The LS and LSV series are described as long-coupled, split-case, double-inlet centrifugal volute pumps.
