- Shinko Kinzoku Industries Co., Ltd., the predecessor to Shinko Ind. Ltd., began manufacturing pumps for standard wartime ships and later developed its first centrifugal pump for patrol boats. The EVZ series, including the EVZ-200, has models that were available as early as 1991.
- The EVZ-200 is part of Shinko's EVZ series of vertical, two-stage, single/double-suction condensate pumps.
