- The Wärtsilä Aquarius EC Ballast Water Management System (BWMS) was granted International Maritime Organization (IMO) Type Approval in December 2013, following its acquisition as part of Hamworthy plc in January 2012. It received US Coast Guard (USCG) Type Approval in August 2018.
