It supersedes the Series 3 range, offering the same footprint and wiring with an additional terminal.
- The MX341 is considered an entry-level AVR for Stamford alternators that use a Permanent Magnet Generator (PMG) for excitation. It is supplied as standard on P7 alternators and is also compatible with UC22, UC27, HC4, S4, HC5, S5, HC6, and S6 alternators. Within the Stamford range, it is positioned as a high-end option alongside the MX342-2, offering enhanced environmental resilience compared to models like the SX460 and AS440.
- The MX341 is chosen for its permanent magnet generator (PMG) powered excitation system, which isolates the AVR control circuits from non-linear loads and reduces radio frequency interference. This design also provides sustained short-circuit current, improving motor starting performance.
