Chugoku Marine Paints (CMP) has been manufacturing hull coatings since 1917, with the company reorganizing as Chugoku Marine Paints, Ltd. in 1923. The BANNOH series itself has been a representative product line for CMP since 2001, with over 4,500 vessels reportedly using it without defects.
BANNOH 500 is a multi-purpose epoxy primer within CMP's BANNOH series, which also includes products like BANNOH 1500, BANNOH 2000, BANNOH 3000, and BANNOH 5000. While BANNOH 500 is a tar-free epoxy paint, BANNOH 3000 is also a multi-purpose epoxy primer but contains aluminum pigments.
BANNOH 500 is a tar-free, multi-purpose epoxy primer known for its excellent physical properties, including toughness, adhesion, and abrasion resistance. It offers high resistance to water and saltwater, making it suitable for various ship areas such as the outside hull, deck, and superstructure.
