- Hempel Hempathane HS 55610 was available by at least March 2009, as indicated by a product data sheet issued in that month. It is part of the broader Hempathane series of polyurethane topcoats.
- Hempathane HS 55610 is a glossy polyurethane topcoat within Hempel's range, designed for high-build finishing. Other Hempathane products include Hempathane HS 55613, a semi-gloss acrylic polyurethane topcoat, and Hempathane HS 55810, another two-component polyurethane topcoat.
- This model is chosen for its very good gloss and color retention, even in severely corrosive atmospheric environments. It is also VOC-compliant and can be applied as a one-coat direct-to-metal system in C2 and C3 environments.
