Description
Two-component epoxy for low-temperature winter construction and maintenance
Did you know
- The Sigma Coatings brand, under which Sigmashield 420 LT is sold, was formed in 1972 through the merger of three companies, including Pieter Schoen & Sons, which began grinding pigments in the Netherlands in 1722. PPG acquired SigmaKalon (which included Sigma Coatings) in 2008.
- The Sigmashield 420 LT is part of the broader Sigmashield range, which offers heavy-duty reinforced epoxy coatings for demanding environments. Within this range, it is positioned as a reinforced high solids polyamine adduct cured epoxy coating, suitable for cargo tanks and as a buildcoat for underwater systems, distinguishing it from products like Sigmashield 880, which is primarily designed for offshore splash zones.
- Sigmashield 420 LT is chosen for its ability to cure at low temperatures (down to -10°C or 14°F), excellent abrasion and impact resistance, and outstanding resistance to seawater, making it suitable for cargo tanks and underwater applications.
